Julie,
You should really be outside digging the
weather, so I'll make this brief. Just a few
things I thought you oughta know, plus some
stuff to make you laugh. Read fast, then
skitter off to plant some flowers or
something!
Enjoy,
julie

Subversive, a four-legged duckling and the pan-eating man
Lovely article in the British tabloid-y
publication called NUTS (for the blokes,
don'tcha know). My patterns appear right above a
story about a man who eats pans and a freaky
four-legged duckling. My mom's not worried
about my career at ALL now. Heh. I'm pretty
sure she was crying because she was happy.
NUTS in all its glory

Crafty Query meets the terrifically prolific Shannon Okey
If you don't know Shannon Okey, you're just
probably not moving fast enough. Besides
authoring a new book every time I turn
around, she also runs knitgrrl.com and
really, who knows what else she's done just
while I'm writing this sentence. Girl's got
crazy-mad skills!
Catch up with Shannon, quick!

New crafty book includes Subversive pattern
I'm impressed with this new book by British
author Amy Spencer. If you think you know
the craft scene, this book will surprise
you. It's full of unusual projects, and it
also includes
thoughtful insights about the craft
movement. Amy is also the author of the
successful book DIY:
The Rise of Lo-fi Culture. The new book
has a few
pages about Subversive, including a pattern!

Did you see Mark Frauenfelder of MAKE
magazine on The
Colbert Report? (you can still watch it
online) So kooky and inspired!
blueQ and
others have sent me a TON of cool
new swag - look for extra good stuff in all
new orders!
Lots of activity on the blog,
and I'm stitching up some new patterns for
April!
Roses are blue,
Violets are red,
Oh my God, ya'll -
